BJNHS provides immediate and unrestricted open access to all published content. The journal believes that freely available research supports the wider dissemination and exchange of knowledge and contributes to the development of nursing practice, health sciences, education, policy, and community health services.

No subscription or reader-access fee is charged for accessing or downloading published articles.

BJNHS does not charge authors:

• Submission fees;

• Article processing charges;

• Publication fees; or

• Article-access fees.

Authors retain the copyright to their published work and grant BJNHS the right of first publication. Articles are published under the Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 International License, or CC BY 4.0.
